The band‘s name is borrowed from
the Howlin’ Wolf song of the same title. The music of Smokestack
Lightin’ is influenced by Blues and Jump Blues artists from the
1940’s and 1950’s. Artists such as T-Bone Walker, Pee Wee Crayton,
Louis Jordan and
Little Walter. Smokestack Lightin’ brings a raw Blues sound with a
powerful West Coast swing to the stage that recreates the exuberance
and rebelliousness of early Blues.
